“I am thoroughly convinced that the highest human dignity is expressed through a life lived in the service of God and all Creation. Therefore, I take personal responsibility as a member of the human race to ensure that my talents, gifts, and abilities are unconditionally dedicated to the wellness and advancement of humankind.”
I carry out this mission statement via service as a Psychotherapist in private practice, as an Author publishing independent research regarding the integration of psychology and Catholic spirituality, and as a Humanitarian managing a charitable relief fund for those affected by MH/MR issues.

Focus:
The integration of psychology and Catholic spirituality in promoting optimal human health and well-being.
Psychological Foundations: I base my psychological approach to my life and work upon the concept of "Inherent Truth." This means that I approach direction, counseling, or psychotherapy as unique journeys of discovery regarding the truth of the human person and the realities that exist within various life challenges and situations. Ultimately, growth and healing unfold when and where greater CLARITY exists.
One “clear truth” that informs my work is the understanding that the human person is comprised of a body and a soul and, psychologically speaking, a brain and a mind. Hence, any approach to human understanding becomes an integrative process that requires both a highly scientific posture (knowledge based) as well a deeply philosophical/theological orientation (wisdom based).
Consequently, the path to personal discovery and problem solving becomes a process of integrating science and spirituality (i.e., knowledge and wisdom) as we continually search for the “heart of the matter.”
In direction, we seek the truth of God.
In counseling, we seek the truth of the problem or issue.
In psychotherapy, we seek the truth of the “essential self.”
I work towards these goals via an “integrative model,” an “evidence based” orientation, and a “reality centered” approach.
Theological Foundations: I base my spiritual approach to my life and work upon the concept of the “Natural Law” as presented within the teachings and practices of the Roman Catholic Church.
The “Natural Law” illumines the fact that all persons and things have been created with inherent meaning and a stated purpose. When this “natural order” is violated, disorder takes root and chaos ensues. The path to health and wellbeing are therefore inexorably tied to how well we choose to align ourselves with the natural law and order of God’s Creation.
Therefore, in order to honor and respect this most basic truth, I have chosen to conduct my research and practice in a manner that CANNOT and WILL NOT compromise ESSENTIAL Catholic teachings, especially those regarding "human nature," the "sanctity of life," and "the family."
This means that I will NEVER advocate for the practices of abortion, artificial birth control, illicit sexuality, willful divorce, euthanasia, or any other attitudes or practices that violate the Magisterial teachings of the Church. I encourage directees, clients, and patients to always work within the parameters of balanced and reasonable Catholic theology in all areas of their lives.
As a healer and a scientist, I believe that the Catholic Church holds both an advanced understanding of the human condition, as well as many powerful and viable solutions to the current struggles of humanity. In Catholicism this is expressed as "the fullness of Truth."
