Treatment Philosophy
A person is comprised of a body and a soul. Hence, any approach to wellness would do best to follow an integrative model that considers the whole-person within the context of the treatment of focus.
When direction, counseling, or psychotherapy is the treatment of focus, an integrative model will consider physical, cognitive/emotional, and spiritual etiologies and interventions that uniquely present themselves in the context of each individual person. One size does not fit all.
Therefore, every therapy is unique, and the therapist's expertise will be best expressed in her/his ability to pinpoint causations and prescribe "cutting edge" treatments to co-journey with directees, clients, and patients towards optimal psychospiritual wellness, which includes:
- SURRENDER to the realities we all face in life, and acceptance of what we can and cannot change
- An ability to CO-JOURNEY with others and to ask for and accept help when needed
- An ongoing practice of RELEASE of thoughts and feelings in balanced and healthy ways
- Openness to continued REVELATION regarding meaning and purpose regarding ourselves, others, and our world
- A desire for ongoing RENEWAL as we continue to change, grow and evolve
- A continual striving for greater AUTHENTICITY that honors true self
- Eventual TRANSCENDENCE of self and circumstances in a manner that enables us to live above mere existence and embrace lives of personal faith and ultimate service.
